Ooh, pretty (and useful) maps

Prospect-DMM (the "DMM" stands for data mining and modeling) is one of my favorite listservs for learning new stuff.

Recently, one poster shared Colorbrewer, which helps you choose color schemes for mapping based on the type of data being represented.  And it's gorgeous, too!

I'm a huge fan of interesting maps -- check out a couple of favorites here.
