DATABASE OPERATIONS

  • Create and implement a prioritized plan to address data hygiene issues. We will focus on improving your ability to:

    • build donor relationships

    • accurately report and analyze fundraising results

    • be effective in your fundraising efforts

    We’ll work with your team to implement high-priority recommendations, including hands-on clean up work, training, and coaching.

  • Improve your donor relations and fundraising efforts with donor-centered and IRS-compliant improvements to your database. We will talk with your team and review your database setup and make recommendations, including changes to database processes and configuration (codes, fields, page layouts and other database settings). We’ll work with your team to implement high-priority recommendations, including hands-on configuration, training, and coaching.

  • Improve your database’s ability to support your events, online giving, email, and other constituent engagement efforts. We will talk with your team and review your application setup and make recommendations, including changes to database integrations, processes, and configuration (codes, fields, page layouts and other database settings). We’ll work with your team to implement high-priority recommendations, including hands-on configuration, training, and coaching.

  • Ensure that none of your individual major gift, corporate, or foundation prospects fall through the cracks. We will work with you to create prospect management processes for your database and your team, based on your unique needs and prospect management best practices. We will configure your database and set up reports/dashboards to support your prospect management efforts. We’ll work with your team to implement high-priority recommendations, including hands-on database configuration, training, and coaching.

  • Learn the basics of your database in training sessions customized for your organization. Training topics include managing people, organizations, gifts, engagement, prospect systems, and reporting/dashboards, in addition to other topics requested by your organization.

REPORTING & METRICS

  • We’ll work with your organization’s team to identify your reporting needs, including fundraising analysis, grants and prospect management tracking, acknowledgment and other operational processes, and segmented fundraising appeals. We’ll work collaboratively with your team to develop and implement top priority reports based on your needs and best practices.

  • Monitor your fundraising performance so you can make timely improvements to meet your goals. We’ll work with you to develop fundraising dashboards (either using your database system’s functionality or an external application) based on your needs and best practices.

  • Identify key performance indicators to drive your fundraising success. Metrics will be based on your fundraising plan, staffing, and needs, along with industry best practices. We will work with you to

    • review baseline statistics

    • develop numeric goals, collection, and reporting methods

    • plan for regular metric evaluation to inform your strategy

    • train your team

 

SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTATION

  • Review your database against the current fundraising constituent relationship management (CRM) market. We will identify your data management must-haves and your nice-to-haves, and we’ll assess how your CRM system stacks up against your identified requirements and leading competitors.

Based on your unique needs and our knowledge of the fundraising database market, we’ll identify databases to review against your identified requirements. After a thorough review, we’ll recommend the best database system(s) to meet your organization’s needs.

  • We’ll ensure a smooth transition from your current database system to your new database system. Whether you have us perform the entire conversion, or partner on a vendor-led conversion, we’ll work with you and your database vendor to make sure data is transferred cleanly and correctly and that your new system is configured to meet your needs.
