As the Principal of Fundraising Nerd, Amanda Jarman works with a diverse array of nonprofit organizations who are making life better in the Northwest and beyond. Amanda helps her clients raise money more effectively through improving database capabilities; establishing or improving relationship management and prospect research systems; and conducting custom analytics projects, including prospect identification, campaign analysis, and revenue projection.
Amanda honed her expertise in fundraising data during 15 years of experience in nonprofit administration. Before launching Fundraising Nerd in 2013, Amanda served in various fundraising data-related positions at Portland State University, most recently as Assistant Vice President for Advancement Services. She was also Associate Director of Advancement Services at Lewis & Clark College. Her experience prior to higher education was with smaller non-profits, including the Safeplace domestic violence shelter and the Olympia Food Co-op. This experience ignited Amanda’s passion for scaling big shop tools and techniques to fit shops of all sizes.
Amanda is a sought-after expert in her field, and is a frequent trainer and presenter on data topics. She was recently honored with the 2014 Emerging Leader Award from the Association of Advancement Services Professionals (AASP). She serves on the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement’s editorial advisory committee, and on the strategic planning advisory council and the nominations committee of AASP. Amanda is also president of the board of directors of Bitch Media, a nonprofit feminist media organization. You can also find Amanda at www.linkedin.com/in/amandajarman.
